Vive Crop Protection and A&L Biologicals Inc., a subsidiary of A&L Canada Laboratories Inc., are harnessing the power of their combined technologies in an Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC) project “Targeted Delivery of Biopesticides.” SDTC is an independent federal foundation that helps Canadian companies develop and deploy competitive, clean technology solutions to help solve some of the world’s most pressing environmental challenges: climate change, clean air, clean water and clean soil.

Vive and A&L are working to develop effective new biopesticide products using Vive’s patented Allosperse nanotechnology delivery system and A&L’s novel microbial based biopesticide technologies. The new targeted biopesticide products will provide farmers with higher yield potential using sustainable technologies that can be easily integrated into existing crop management practices. The project includes greenhouse and field trial testing through to commercialization.

The global biopesticide market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 14.7 percent from an estimated value of $4.3 billion in 2020, reaching $8.5 billion by 2025. Vive and A&L’s technologies address these global trends and support development of this emerging market.
