Denzil Phillips has joined potato and vegetable handling equipment manufacturer Tong Engineering as the company’s new quality manager. Phillips has over 30 years of experience in developing, implementing and managing quality management systems across a variety of manufacturing industry sectors. His wealth of expertise will see him overseeing the company’s customer-focused quality management system across all departments, ensuring maximum quality and consistency throughout.

As an international leader in custom-built vegetable handling solutions, Tong Engineering is committed to providing the highest quality equipment and service to customers. The appointment of a new quality manager to continuously focus on developing, delivering and maintaining the company’s quality assurance program comes as part of an exciting program of expansion for Tong, including the building of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, which is due to be fully operational mid-2020.

With extensive previous experience in overseeing quality assurance of high-end automotive and engine manufacturing processes, working with clients including JCB, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Volvo, Phillips has developed an innate and meticulous dedication to ensuring total quality management, which he will implement across the complete production process at Tong Engineering.
