Side Delights won its third packaging design award in five years from Graphic Design USA’s 57th American Packaging Design Awards.

The Side Delights Gourmet Petite fresh potato package was created to include a clean, elegant design inspired by a white tablecloth restaurant, according to a news release.

“We challenged the design team to communicate the beauty and style of high-end dining while providing package design cues that would be just as stimulating visually on the shelf,” Kathleen Triou, president and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network, said in the release.

This award comes after the winning Flavorables in 2017 and Roastables in 2016.

The Side Delights line received packaging awards for Flavorables in 2107 and Roastables in 2016.

Winners are chosen on visual design and how the packaging addresses specific market trends, marketing objectives and target markets.

The 1.5-pound pillow package design was launched in Canada with the company’s Red Isle Potato Growers partner.

“Typically, bilingual packaging struggles design-wise. For this type of package to win a visual design award is unique. With this recognition, I feel confident extending this design to the continental U.S,” Triou said in the release.
