AMVAC recently welcomed Micah Scanga as commercial product manager for potatoes and high-value crop segments.

Scanga comes to AMVAC from Syngenta, where he served as a marketing lead for western crops and seed care. He also managed Syngenta’s FarMore Technology business in the U.S.

“Micah brings an understanding of marketing strategies that will help drive our high-value segments while planning for the future,” says Scott Hendrix, AMVAC’s senior vice president of U.S. crop sales, Canada and application technology. “His passion and leadership will be instrumental in setting the direction of this critical business segment within our U.S. crop business.”

Scanga earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in agricultural education and communication from the University of Florida. While obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he minored in leadership theory and received a minor with his master’s degree in food and resource economics with a specialization in leadership development. Scanga will reside in the Pacific Northwest.
