Wolfley Named CHS Bingham GM

CHS Inc., a leading U.S. farmer-owned cooperative, has named Jared Wolfley as general manager for its CHS Bingham business in Blackfoot, Idaho. In his new role, Wolfley will lead all operations of the agronomy, energy and ag supply co-op serving farmers and ranchers across southeastern Idaho

”Jared brings a unique skill set, combining his years of hands-on experience in global agribusiness with agriculture studies at the highest academic level,” says Mike Jensen, retiring general manager for CHS Bingham. Jensen has served Idaho farmers and the cooperative system for nearly four decades.

For the past 10 years, Wolfley has worked in a variety of management capacities for AgReserves, Inc., a privately held, multinational company handling cattle, citrus, nuts, row crops and processing. His time with AgReserves took him from the Pacific Northwest to Argentina and back, among other destinations in various roles including multi-site grain elevator manager, marketing director and general manager. He was most recently corporate commodity marketing manager at AgReserves’ corporate offices, responsible for futures and options trading for international and domestic operations, investment analysis and statistical modeling.

Born and raised on a dairy farm in Blackfoot, Wolfley holds a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Texas A&M University, an master’s in agricultural economics from the University of Idaho, and bachelor’s degree in animal science from Cornell University. He is a certified crop advisor and has served on the Hermiston Agricultural Research Extension Center Advisory Board.
