Glass Appointed to Develop Agro-K Business in South

Agro-K Corporation announces the addition of Jeff Glass as its southern business development manager. Glass will be based in Tallahassee, Fla., and his role will involve leading a focused, strategic expansion of Agro-K’s “limited and rational” distribution model in the Mid-South and Southeast. Agro-K seeks to partner with selected high-service retail distributors that are committed to bringing value-added products and services to growers that address critical issues and deliver increased profitability.

Glass holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from the University of Georgia and brings to Agro-K a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience in product development, sales, marketing, key account management and leadership to. He has a deep understanding of row crops, fruits, vegetables and specialty crops in the Mid-South and Southeast. Glass started his career in the late 1980s managing 2,000 acres of citrus for A. Duda & Sons, which provided valuable field experience and a thorough understanding of grower input needs and the importance of value-added service from suppliers and distributors. This initial experience helped mold his dedication to a “high-service” approach to growers and distributors alike. It has been the foundation for all subsequent positions he has held in his career, from Mycogen to American Cyanamid, to Eden Bioscience, Arysta Life Science and NovaSource. As Georgia regional manager for Meherrin Ag & Chemical from 2009 to 2015, Glass’ leadership and steadfast focus on grower service helped achieve significant growth in Meherrin’s market share while earning the trust of many growers in southern Georgia.
