Wisconsin Grower Inducted Into Hall of Fame

The Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association has inducted potato grower Myron Soik into its Hall of Fame.

Soik, owner of Stevens Point, Wis.-based Myron Soik & Sons Inc., was inducted at a banquet Feb. 5 in Stevens Point, according to an association news release.

The Soik family began growing potatoes in Wisconsin’s Portage County in 1947. Today, Soik & Sons’ farm produces 3,000 acres of potatoes, soybeans, sweet corn, peas and green beans.

In addition to running Soik & Sons, Soik is a member of the association and a lifelong member of the Farm Bureau.
