IIEA Elects New Officers for 2014

Elections for the 2014 Officers and Board of Directors for the Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association were held recently in Burley, Idaho. Dana Duffin, The Sprinkler Shop, Paul, will serve as president; Bob Hand, Nelson Irrigation Corp., Walla Walla, Wash., got the nod as vice president and Ron Sessler, Dykman Electrical, Boise, was elected as treasurer.

Three board members were elected to two-year terms: Quentin Nesbitt, Idaho Power Co., Boise; Dallas Jensen, Agri-Lines Irrigation, Parma and Roger Yasuda, Clearwater Supply, Ontario, Oregon. Derick Attebury, Rain For Rent, Idaho Falls; Loni Monson, Pipeco, Inc., Nampa and Tawna Root, Layne Pumps Inc., Twin Falls, have one more year on their terms. Kent Kidd, Valmont Industries, Declo, will serve as past president.

The following members will serve as committee chairs for association activities this year: Education Chair: Howard Neibling, University of Idaho, Kimberly; Scholarship Chair: Dirk Leavitt, Valmont Industries, American Falls; Ag Membership Jim Mitchell, TRO Sales, Meridian; Turf Membership Chair Jim Moyer, Irrigation Design, Meridian.

The chairmen for the 2015 Idaho Irrigation Equipment Show and Conference in Idaho Falls will be Cody Kemp, HD Fowler, Idaho Falls and Kendall Rolfe, Rain For Rent, Idaho Falls. Tondee Clark, Boise, has begun her 18th year as secretary.

The IIEA was established in 1971 and membership consists of more than 115 separate entities including wholesale suppliers, retail dealers, equipment manufacturers, public utilities and educational institutions engaged in serving Idaho's agricultural and landscape irrigation equipment needs.
