PGI Sets Summer Meeting In Jackpot, NV

Potato Growers of Idaho will hold their annual summer meeting at Catus Petes in Jackpot, NV, Wednesday and Thursday, July 7-8.
Many important matters of business and information will be handled and shared. Besides the general meetings of PGI, SIPCO (bargaining) and SPGI (seed growers) will hold meetings beginning Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Potato Management Company will meet at 3:30 p.m.
Speakers at general sessions include Linda McCashion of the United States Potato Board addressing low carb diets; Roger Seiber and Jerry Deckard of Capitol West, and Norm Semanko of the Idaho Water Users Association speaking on, "Too Little Water--Too Much Demand."
Also to be addressed will be the Idaho Potato Commission's strategic plan, "Strategic Solutions--Report On Change."
On Wednesday night there will be a banquet and entertainment. A golf tournament scramble is planned for Thursday afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
