McCain Foods awarded Leavitt Farms, LLC of Limestone, Maine, its coveted Champion Grower title in August. Leavitt Farms is the proud operator of Lockwood Manufacturing potato equipment.
The McCain Champion Grower award is based on scoring in three categories: field direct delivery, winter storage delivery and refrigerated storage. Leavitt Farms had the highest overall score and was given the title at the annual McCain Grower Barbecue in Presque Isle, Maine.
“I am proud of his legacy and we all work hard to make the farm look good, be good and do good every day. It was a great surprise this year,” said Randy Leavitt of Leavitt Farms.
