Kermit Cochran, recently retired AgDirect territory manager, has been selected as the Idaho Irrigation Equipment Association’s 2017 Person of the Year. The award, which is voted on by the association’s officers and board of directors, was presented on Jan. 10.

“I am honored to receive this award from this great organization that helps our industry and the next generation of Idaho Agricultural and Landscape Irrigation students through their great scholarship program,” said Cochran, who makes his home in Jerome, Idaho.

In 1998, Cochran went to work for Reinke Manufacturing as a territory manager. In 2012, he took on the role of territory manager for AgDirect, an agricultural equipment financing company based in Omaha, Neb. Cochran, who retired Jan. 2, said his philosophy was to always help the dealer or customer with whatever their needs were, no matter what time of year or what time of day.
