Starting this fall, U.S. Foods, one of the leading foodservice distributors in the Americas, will launch a new line of “clean label” products, targeting restaurateurs and out-of-home operators. Among them, the company includes three processed potato specialties, under the Chef’s Line and Monarch brands.

Made without artificial ingredients, flavors, colors or preservatives, Chef’s Line natural chips are minimally processed and frozen and follow the “natural” trend, which a growing number of operators include in order to upgrade their market positioning.

Similarly, Chef’s Line natural fries are made using a special processing technique which provides better heat retention and an innovative texture for the frozen skin-on french fries.

The Monarch range has been extended to include the pickle fries, a Southern favorite which has in recent years gone mainstream in restaurants. The range is provided as an alternative to traditional side dishes and is produced using a unique batter made of corn and masa, as well as premium kosher dills, which offer a new twist on the familiar pickle chips.
