Management at McCain Foods and invited guests officially broke ground Oct. 3 to mark the start of construction on the major expansion to its french fry plant in Florenceville-Bristol, New Brunswick, as announced in June.
The 32,000-square-foot expansion will house a new production line with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and technology, allowing the company to meet the growing demand for hash browns and other specialty potato products with its retail and foodservice customers across North America.
McCain expects the new line to begin production in August 2017.
