Valley University, the training organization of Valley Irrigation, has received an esteemed Learning in Practice Award from Chief Learning Officer magazine. During the recent Chief Learning Officer Symposium in Carlsbad, Calif., the Valley University team won a Global Learning Award for accomplishments in delivering effective learning and development to a global workforce.

The Learning in Practice Awards recognize transformational and visionary leaders in enterprise education, said Mike Prokopeak, editor-in-chief of Human Capital Media, which publishes Chief Learning Officer.

“This year, we received more than 200 nominations across 15 categories,” Propkopeak said. “These finalists are the industry leaders who truly champion innovation and transform it into value for their organizations.”

Valley University educates Valley dealers around the world on the company’s products and practices to increase expertise in sales, service and aftermarket parts. It has grown from training only domestic dealers to serving dealerships in 34 countries, with courses available in five different languages.

Patrick Angel, director of global learning for Valley Irrigation, said the award is independent validation that Valley is focused on the right things. “Our leadership is committed to excellence, innovation, human talent development and continuous improvement,” Angel said. “The expectation is that our service and knowledge is as excellent as the quality of our physical products, so the training we develop for our employees and our global dealer partners will make our people the industry experts.”
