RDO Buys Larsen Farm's Dehy Plant

The Ronnie D. Offutt (RDO) company of Fargo, ND, has purchased the Dubois, ID, potato dehydration plant from Larsen Farms of Hamer, ID.

Jan Nel of Idaho Falls will carry on as plant manager. He said Offutt's intent is to hire all current employees to run the plant.

Offutt will run the plant in connection with two other dehy plants he owns in Grand Forks, ND, and Winnemucca, NV.

Offutt, the nation's largert grower, has farms in Arizona, California, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Texas, Oregon, Washington and now Idaho.

The company is now working on a name change for the plant.
