Two storage and equipment disinfectants important to the potato industry have been given Section Three registrations.
After several years of trying, with pressure coming from several states, labels for two chlorine dioxide products, Purogene and Anthium AGP, have been approved. Prior to this they have been used under Section 18 labels.
Growers can use them to disinfect potato-handling equipment at harvest and to micro-mist them through storage humidification systems to control some diseases.
Each product should be available under its new label soon.
