Unseasonably cold weather has hit a great portion of the state of Colorado.

Snow, hail, flooding and the potential of frost have all been reported. The cold front pushed down from the north. It has ranchers and growers concerned.

The flooding came prior to the snow storm, as unusually high temperatures melted high-elevation snow packs and caused flooding and washouts. The main east-west freeway (70) from Denver to Grand Junction was closed down both ways today as crews tried to restore the washed-out roadway.

In the San Luis Valley, growers are fearing frost, as the cold front continues to move south.
