The EPA has approved Willowood USA’s Mesotrione 4SC product. Willowood Mesotrione 4SC is a long-lasting, broad-spectrum, residual herbicide used primarily for the control of tough broadleaf weeds in corn.

“Although our portfolio of products has grown significantly since our company’s formation in 2009, we have had a gap in our lineup of corn herbicides,” says Brian Heinze, president and CEO of Willowood USA. “As one of the leading corn herbicides in American agriculture, the launch of Mesotrione 4SC quickly fills that gap.”

With already approved state registrations, Willowood plans to market Mesotrione 4SC in time for the 2016 U.S. corn market.

“We have been anticipating this registration,” says Casey Daniel, Willowood national account manager, “but, quite frankly, the EPA approved this registration more quickly than we had expected. With the challenging commodity price situation this season, we will now be able to offer U.S. corn growers a generic alternative to the higher priced name-brand products.”

With wide flexibility in application timing and tank mix partners, Mesotrione 4SC will provide growers the ability to tailor their herbicide program to their specific needs.
