1000 Series Valves, Delta P

New 1000 Series valves save energy with higher flow capacity and lower friction loss—better than any other valve on the market. They also have more precise and stable pressure regulation over a wider range of flow and with minimal pressure differential required across the valve.

A modular design provides ultimate flexibility in valve style and connection type while simplifying installation, troubleshooting and maintenance—great for the grower, installer and system designer.

Choose from three different flow path options: inline, tee and elbow, and choose from five inlet/outlet styles. The 1000 Series valve applications include zone control for sprinkler or drip-irrigated row crops, nursery crops, orchards and vineyards. The valve fits perfectly under a Big Gun for solid-set irrigation, end-of-pivot solutions and a variety of environmental controls including fire suppression, dust suppression and cooling.

Nelson also introduces for sale and distribution the Delta P for pivot end gun valve control with the SRNV100 Big Gun. The SRNV100 is an end gun and control valve in one. The nozzle valve improves end gun performance and efficiency by eliminating pressure loss, turbulence and debris hangup typical of other end gun control valves.

The Delta P can be paired with the SRNV100 to further improve reliability by eliminating the need for a costly solenoid. The Delta P automatically opens and closes the nozzle valve by sensing pressure upstream and downstream of the booster pump.

NFTrax, Growsmart

Two of Lindsay Corporation’s newest products have earned industry recognition for their innovative design and attention to detail incorporating technology for modern farming irrigation systems.

The patent-pending NFTrax wheel assembly is an airless wheel design that will never go flat and keeps wheel ruts to a minimum—saving time, labor and replacement costs. Compared to pneumatic and solid tires, NFTrax helps growers avoid tread damage and punctures, and it eliminates air pressure checks. In addition, it reduces wheel rut depth and controls water runoff and track erosion, allowing trouble-free operation throughout the season.

Multi-Control and FieldNET wireless micro-irrigation management remotely controls the entire system, saving water by automating when and how much to apply, and alerting growers to issues such as pressure or flow disparities due to leaks and clogs that can result in inefficiencies.

Hortau

WEB-TX4 Smart Stations

Hortau has been an industry leader in real-time soil moisture monitoring since 2002, developing one of the first web-based irrigation management systems on the market and helping potato growers take the guesswork out of irrigation practices.

Using soil tension measurement to determine the precise amount of water that’s available to a crop, Hortau’s latest-generation WEB-TX4 smart stations help growers improve yield and cut irrigation costs.

Hortau’s wireless stations and simplified software for mobile devices and computers securely report to growers how crops are faring in real time. That plant-centric approach to measuring soil tension allows growers to detect plant stress (from drought, lack of aeration and other factors) before it becomes visible in the crop, ensuring optimal plant growth while reducing water and energy use.

Valley Irrigation

AquaDock Drop Hose Docking Stations

Valley Irrigation is offering a new sprinkler application option for growers who rotate crops of varying heights. AquaDock drop hose docking stations provide two ground clearances in one drop hose assembly. Growers can easily change the drop hose height from the ground by using a lift pole to place the sprinkler head into the docking station.

This new product offers a convenient way to change drop hose length and to improve crop production. AquaDock allows growers to tailor water application to varying crop clearances without compromising uniformity or efficiency, two essential elements in yield and profit. It is available for new machines and for retrofitting existing pivots. Docking stations can be mounted directly to the U-pipe, or they can clamp around the span. The span clamp version also helps prevent span cable theft. AquaDock docking stations are available exclusively through Valley Irrigation dealers.

Root Demand Irrigation

Root Demand Irrigation (RDI) gained recognition from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) for groundbreaking industry innovation for the development of its subsurface irrigation product.
RDI commercially launched as a division of Valmont Irrigation in early 2014 and while its sales this first year have been for agricultural row crop irrigation in the U.S., RDI expects significant benefits of its product will be recognized globally and across broader agricultural segments.

RDI was featured in the January/February 2015 special AE50 issue of ASABE’s magazine Resource: Engineering & Technology for a Sustainable World. The AE50 awards program annually honors up to 50 products that will best advance engineering for the food and agriculture industries.

The RDI product is a unique form of subsurface irrigation that interacts with the plants’ roots to release water needed to meet the crop’s requirements. The RDI tube, a combination of the material science of DuPont and irrigation technology expertise and manufacturing of Valmont Irrigation, is the key component of the new product. The RDI tube puts irrigation in action that is controlled directly by the plant—a truly innovative solution.

Field trials have shown water use with RDI to be 45 to 60 percent less than furrow irrigation. Energy savings are found with the ability to operate at a very low PSI rate (as low as 2 PSI) in the field versus that of conventional irrigation methods, which operate in a range of 8 to 20 PSI.

Omni Enviro

H2O Engergizer

Omni Enviro’s H2O Energizer dramatically improves crop health and yield through improved hydration, nutrient update and soil conditioning. The Omni system physically restructures water by breaking down the hydrogen bonding that naturally occurs between water molecules. This restructured water is less viscous, enabling better permeation, flow and uptake by the plants. This improves soil moisture content and water penetration depths, fostering deeper, more complex, root development.

The Omni process breaks minerals down into smaller units and holds them in suspension. This converts damaging hard minerals into productive nutritionals—a factor that contributes to the increase in yields. Omni also increases the delivery of oxygen to the root system while flushing salts and scale from the soil, making soils mellower.

The H2O Energizer improves the effectiveness in spraying, cooling and wash-down applications, saving up to 50 percent in fertilizers, herbicides and chemicals used. The product is performance guaranteed with a 10-year warranty

T-L Irrigation

(800) 330-4264

www.tlirr.com :: sales@tlirr.com

With an eye toward helping farmers deal with water shortages and pumping restrictions, T-L Irrigation Co. is teaming with Netafim, Inc., a world leader in drip irrigation products, in introducing a new version of T-L’s unique Precision Mobile Drip Irrigation (PMDI) system.

PMDI technology combines the benefits of T-L’s hydrostatically powered center pivot irrigation systems with the efficiency of drip irrigation for total water efficiency that approaches 95 percent. Universally available for all new or used pivot or linear irrigation systems, PMDI features in-line driplines spaced at 60-inch intervals that are pulled through the field by a center pivot or lateral-move irrigation system. Lines can also be spaced at 30- or 40-inch intervals. As the hoses are pulled behind the system, emitters spaced every six inches deliver an even water pattern across the full length of the pivot or linear system. The technology provides a water-saving solution for customers who are faced with water restrictions or deficit irrigation. Because the drip lines do not put the water out in the air, the evaporation and wind drift associated with traditional sprinklers are virtually eliminated, putting more water directly onto the soil surface.

T-L's GPS Navigation Corner System is the ultimate in design simplicity.

Featuring Real Time Kinematic (RTK) accuracy and Wheel Angle Sensor (WAS) for true tracking, the package includes the base station, eliminating the need for a subscription. The system tracks multiple constellations, reducing the signal loss caused by tree lines and other obstacles, and there is no electronic interference from power lines. Operators can easily change the path of the system through a simple “teach” function.

Users get track on track accuracy pass after pass, fast startup time, and real-time diagnostics so they can watch it work. Safety is assured through low-voltage DC, and there is no buried wire.

Combined with T-L’s hydrostatic design, low maintenance, reliability and unmatchd continuous movement, T-L's GPS Navigation Corner System represents the optimum in pivot corner system management.
