SYNGENTA ANNOUNCES FOURTH ANNUAL POTATO SCHOLARSHIP

GREENSBORO, N.C.-For the fourth consecutive year, Syngenta is offering a great opportunity to future leaders in agriculture-a $5,000 Syngenta Potato Scholarship for the best student essay addressing the issues of building and sustaining consumer demand for potatoes.

 

The scholarship is available to students who reside or attend school in one of the following states: Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Michigan, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington or Wisconsin. To be considered, applicants must meet one of the following requirements: 1) high school senior involved in the potato-growing industry or a member of 4-H or FFA; or 2) college freshman, sophomore or junior involved in the potato-growing industry or a member of 4-H or FFA.

 

Applications must include: 1) name, 2) address, 3) phone number, 4) email, 5) school name, 6) school year, 7) major/intended major, 8) agriculture involvement, 9) verification of the applicant's involvement/previous involvement in 4-H or FFA, 10) declaration of involvement in the potato-growing industry, and 11) an essay that does not exceed 700 words and addresses the following topic: How can the potato industry build and sustain consumer demand for potatoes?
