WALNUT CREEK, Calif.-Valent U.S.A. Corporation announced Don Dirksen has been hired as national accounts manager for the company.
Dirksen brings to Valent more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience in various roles at Bayer CropScience and its legacy companies, including Rhône-Poulenc and Aventis CropScience. During that time, Dirksen oversaw multiple sales teams and segments of business, with significant focus on managing relationships with major distributors within the crop protection and animal health industries.
In his new role with Valent, Dirksen will manage relationships with national distributor clients. Rick Kraus, national accounts manager, said Dirksen's deep history in a variety of sales management roles-most recently as regional sales manager with Bayer Animal Health-will bring the major accounts team a seasoned and unique viewpoint.
Dirksen holds a bachelor of science degree in agricultural economics from Northwest Missouri State University. He will be based in the Kansas City area.
