BOISE, Idaho-The new issue of Potato Progress from the Idaho, Washington and Oregon Potato Commissions is out.

In this issue, Andy Jensen, Editor, announces the beginning of the insect trapping report season for 2013, and draws attention to some high numbers of beet leafhoppers in parts of the Columbia Basin.

He also continues a periodic series of articles highlighting research scientists in the Northwest-this time Joe Kuhl at University of Idaho in Moscow. University of Idaho and Washington State University recently released some potato-related extension bulletins, and descriptions and links to online versions are given here.

Finally, he reminds everyone of the coming psyllid/insect trapping workshops in ID, OR and WA, as well as the potato field days planned for June 26 and 27 in Hermiston and Othello.
