The USPB has joined the Pinterest movement, the latest social media channel which is growing like wildfire with more than 1 billion page views per month.

Pinterest is an online, digital bulletin board that allows users to post and share images. Users can create themed "pinboards" to categorize their images, each of which links back to the website on which the image was originally located-proving to be an excellent traffic driver.

Recognizing the growing traction of Pinterest with "Linda," the USPB launched the
Potato Goodness page in February 2012, viewing it as a perfect outlet to share potato recipes and photos and drive traffic back to PotatoGoodness.com and the Potatoes, Taters & Spuds Facebook page. The Pinterest page has also been integrated with the USPB's weekly recipe email via a "Follow on Pinterest" button.

The
Potato Goodness Pinterest page now has 13 boards with 134 pins, and is growing every day! Boards on the Potato Goodness page focus on sharing healthy potato recipe images as sourced from the web and other Pinterest users. Updated weekly, the page aims to build existing boards, while continuously adding new seasonal content. Boards include "Potato Types" and "Recipe of the Week," in addition to seasonal content such as "Saint Patrick's Day,""Easter Brunch" and "Thanksgiving Favorites."
