SYNGENTA TO MATCH DONATIONS FOR FMSC AT POTATO EXPO

GREENSBORO, N.C.-Continuing its commitment to helping ensure global food security, Syngenta will collect monetary donations to Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at the Potato Expo in Orlando, Fla., from Wednesday, Jan. 4 through Friday, Jan. 6. Syngenta will match donations made at its booth (#314) dollar for dollar up to $2,500 total.

Earlier this year, Syngenta collaborated with FMCS to bring more than 500 Syngenta employees, their families and friends, and local FFA students together at Syngenta site in Greensboro to pack approximately 178,000 servings of FMSC MannaPack Potato meals in celebration of Ag Week. MannaPack Potato servings are formulated to prevent starvation in children using dehydrated potatoes, vitamins and minerals.

"Syngenta is excited to extend this partnership with Feed My Starving Children," said Steve Gomme, Syngenta crop portfolio lead. "Our commitment to help feed the growing global population reaches beyond providing growers with tools, like CruiserMaxx Potato insecticide/fungicide seed treatment, Endigo ZC insecticide, Quadris Top fungicide and Revus Top fungicide, which help maximize productivity in the field.

"It also involves supporting organizations, such as FMSC, which aid people in need around the globe and investing in the future leaders of the potato industry through programs such as our annual Syngenta Potato Scholarship," Gomme continued. "Through the commitment of the entire agriculture community, American farms will play an integral role in feeding the global population."
