The GREENr Biox family of sprout suppression products is comprised of specialized liquid formulations of Clove Oil (Eugenol) and CIPC for use in linespray or ecoFOG (thermofogging) applications to effectively suppress buds and sprouts in stored potatoes. Biox solutions have been intelligently designed with safer, lower levels of active ingredients that work synergistically without decreasing its effectiveness for superior short-, mid- and long-term potato sprout control.
Biox family of products include: Biox-C (organic), an organic clove oil formulated for ecoFOG thermofogging; Biox-15EC (organic) and Biox-40EC, products using clove oil as the active ingredient for line-spray application; and Biox-COMBO, a lower concentrated CIPC liquid formulation combined with clove oil to create a solution that has decreased toxicity for use in thermofogging.
The ecoFOG thermofogging system uses electrofoggers, a safe, clean and sustainable technology that proves to be environmentally safer and more effective than combustion foggers. This electrofogging technology decreases discharge of harmful combustive by-products (CO and CO2) into the environment and eliminates the need for expensive waste disposal programs. EcoFOG thermofogging maximizes the application of Biox sprout-inhibiting products as it is directly fogged/aerosoled into potato storage facilities to suppress sprouts from growing while in long-term storage conditions.
