LEO DE KOCK INTRODUCES POTATOES W/ MICROWAVE SOLUTION

Leo de Kock introduced 'Snelkokers' during Fruit Logistica in Berlin, potatoes with a microwave solution. The snelkokers 'fast cooking' are available in two varieties: baked potatoes and small round potatoes.

Thanks to a unique steam valve on the packaging these potatoes are ready in respectively 8 and 9 minutes.

"We are marketing this concept under our own brand 'De Nieuwe Keuken.' The concept is very refreshing. It's basically a convenience with a fresh product," says director Claris ten Napel. He says the first reactions to the concept are very positive. "There was a lot of international interest in our new view of potatoes."
