LANSDALE, Penn.-Neptune Chemical Pump Co., a leading producer of chemical metering pumps and chemical feed systems for the process, landscape and agricultural industries, has announced that it will be exhibiting in Booth No. 244 at the upcoming Potato Expo 2010, scheduled for Jan. 5-7 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev. The annual Potato Expo brings together all members of the potato supply chain for three days of education and networking.

At the show, Neptune, which will be making its first appearance at the Potato Expo, will be displaying its full lines of manual and proportional control metering pumps for chemical and fertilizer applications, as well as complete chemigation injection systems. Neptune's products are ideal for applications found in the agricultural industries that involve metering various types of fertilizers, acids, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.

Neptune has designed its various models of metering pumps to be capable of handling products with viscosities of 5,000 cps at flow rates up to 300 GPH. The chemigation injection systems feature two types of pumps, one for clear liquids and light suspensions and a second that is designed for think fluids and light slurries. All of these pumps feature Teflon diaphragms and Viton O-rings, and 316 stainless-steel, PVC or Kynar-wetted parts, which withstand almost any chemical including acids and disinfectants. All pumps are bi-directional, eliminating the need to set rotation when moving and sharing between fields.

The Chemigation systems have been designed for the application of herbicides, fungicides, insecticides and other strong chemicals. The chemical tanks have a sloped bottom for complete drainage and ease of cleaning and are fitted into double-wall containment and with double wall injection lines to protect the environment. A cover shields the pump, piping and electrical controls from the elements and excludes rain and debris which allows 100 percent reclaim of uncontaminated chemical in the event of a spill or broken line.
