World Ag Expo has officially launched its search to find the newest and most innovative products for the upcoming year's expo. For the fifth year now, a panel of World Ag Expo Top-10 judges will select 10 new products to highlight at the 2010 Expo, scheduled for February 9-11, 2010.
"Innovation powers global agriculture," said 2010 World Ag Expo Chairman Bernie Cargle. "Our job at World Ag Expo is to make sure that these new and innovative products are discovered. This year, by merging the Top-5 Dairy Products contest with the Top-10 New Products contest there is guaranteed to be stiff competition for the top spots."
Each entry is evaluated by a panel of production agriculturalists (working farmers and ranchers), agricultural businessmen and university representatives. The Top-10 are selected and announced at World Ag Expo, and the winning entries are showcased at the New Products Center.
Announced at World Ag Expo's Media Day, prior to the official opening of the expo, the Top-10 products is a favorite expo feature for attendees of all ages. The exposure gained from the completion has, for some companies, been the springboard they needed to launch their products' success into the next year.
Previous World Ag Expo Top-10 New Product award winners demonstrate their entries to attendees and media.
Honoree Stephen Keyser from SK Enginering said, "Winning a 2009 Top-10 New Product award for our TeMax materials transporter was a prestigious honor with invaluable promotional benefits. As a new company, the award gave us instant credibility with customers. We had tremendous product exposure with the `Media Day' demonstrations at the New Product Center and television interviews with the local news stations. We are grateful to the World Ag Expo staff for all they did to promote our product and our business."
The expo's strong international focus brings many prospective buyers from around the world to view the Top-10 new products. In addition, large numbers of online visitors view the new products daily.
Another 2009 Top-10 recipient, Jerry Rai, Agriculture Director from Aqua-PhyD, said the Top-10 award generated "incredible interest" for the new product that resulted in strong leads for their water conditioning system, including international leads from Australia, Mexico, Brazil and Israel.
Companies interested in the competition can download a Top-10 contest application at worldagexpo.org. Click on the "enter new products competition" button from the homepage. The deadline for Top-10 applications is August 3, 2009. All entries must come from exhibiting companies who are in good standing.
World Ag Expo occupies more than 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, hosts more than 1,600 exhibitors and draws an estimated 100,000 attendees over its three-day exposition.
