Reinke Manufacturing, Inc., a leading manufacturer of mechanized irrigation systems, has acquired Pivotrac.com LLC. Pivotrac became a division of Reinke Manufacturing Company, Inc. as of December 30. Pivotrac's new company name is ReinTech LLC.

Pivotrac develops products using advanced satellite technology that allows producers to remotely monitor and control field equipment.

Pivotrac users can control their irrigation system, view system status and history via the internet. In addition, producers are alerted through internet, cell phones, land lines, pagers or PDA if there is a problem with their equipment.

"We are very excited about the addition of the Pivotrac line of satellite-based, remote monitoring products to our already extensive family of irrigation system control equipment," says Chris Roth, President of Reinke Manufacturing Company, Inc. "Reinke has been using advanced technology in its products, including GPS, for many years and this acquisition further solidifies our leadership position in the area of irrigation technology."

Reinke previously worked with Pivotrac during development of Reinke's OnTrac, an industry leading monitor and control product for irrigation systems.

"We feel that the demand for remote monitoring and control of irrigation equipment will continue to grow as producers worldwide require management tools that save them time and money," says Roth.

Founded in 1954, Reinke Manufacturing Company, Inc. is one of the world's oldest and largest manufacturers of center pivot and lateral move irrigation systems. Reinke is a pioneer in agricultural mechanized irrigation technology, designing the first reversible, electric-gear-driven center pivot system with a bowstring truss.
