PGI ANNUAL MEETING DELAYED

The annual Potato Growers of Idaho meeting, originally planned to take place in December, has been delayed until "early 2009 when the meeting can be part of a larger event," states a letter dated Dec. 4.

"Even with its smaller role, primarily as managing the Potato PAC, PGI needs to have an annual meeting to conduct business, report on finances and elect board members," according to the same letter.

"By delaying the meeting it is hoped that a larger event will attract more growers and PGI can also conduct its annual fundraising auction for the PAC at the same time."
