EAGLE, ID--Entries are now being accepted for the 16th Annual Potato Lover's Month Retail Display Contest. The Idaho Potato Commission offers over $150,000 in cash and merchandise prizes to participating retailers in various categories.

Along with the projected potato sales increase for stores that participate in the contest, the IPC's prize offerings are equally appealing. This year every qualified entrant will receive a free MP3 Digital Music player.

Thousands of dollars in prize money will be awarded to the top five finishers in three different store categories. One hundred honorable mention winners will each be awarded $100.

The IPC and contest partners KRAFT Cheese Whiz, KRAFT 100 percent Grated Parmesan Cheese and OSCAR MAYER Real Bacon Bits are hoping this year's contest will draw even more entries than last year's. The 2006 contest drew 1,000 entries more than the year prior, bringing the total entries to a staggering 2,680 retailers.
