Canadian Customs officials are collecting some "dumping duty" tariffs on United States potatoes.
Washington's five 10-pound film bags/cwt have a $3.62 (all varieties) among the highest. Washington's 110-count size-A cartons or sacks have a $3.64 duty.
Idaho's highest duty is on size-A cartons or 50 pound sacks at $4.64. Idaho's 10 five-pound mesh bags have a $4.62 duty. Ten different all-variety packs from Idaho have duties ranging from $4.64 to $.95.
California Russets, five 10-pound film bags, are at $2.62.
Canadian Customs noted that Washington's Yukon Gold and round red potatoes are priced higher than the normal value, therefore no anti-dumping duty should be assessed.
