Extremely wet weather being experienced on the East Coast will delay potato harvest there a week to 10 days.

The area from the Deep South to Maine has had an unusually high number of days of rain that has continued since spring.

Growers in the New York area say their crop is progressing, but slowly, and will probably be behind up to 10 days.
