Spudnik Equipment Co., LLC, of Blackfoot, ID, announced a marketing agreement with Landpower of Australia and New Zealand.

Spudnik, a leader in the development and manufacturing of potato-handling equipment, said it would be a perfect match because Landpower is a potato equipment specialist.

Landpower will provide a large number of stores, franchises and dealerships across both countries. They will be the exclusive importer for the entire Spudnik product line.

Managing Director Herby Whyte founded Landpower in 1975. The company has grown to become one of the largest privately owned farm machinery distributors in Australasia.

Landpower markets and distributes leading global brands of specialty agricultural machinery through a network of independent dealers in Australia and New Zealand.

Landpower’s on-going investment in electronic information systems has created the infrastructure for efficient sharing of information and product knowledge.

In a separate announcement, Spudnik officials are going to expand existing manufacturing facilities. An additional 52,000-square-feet will be added to the existing 60,000 built in 1998.

The facility will be home to new state-of-the-art Trumpf laser and press-brake machinery. In addition, a new two-story, 7,200-square-foot office facility will be built.
