Idaho Grower Shippers Association members will meet this week in Sun Valley, ID, to go over some pressing issues, hear the Idaho Potato Commission’s plans for the next year, and to choose new officers.
Dave Smith, president of the IGSA, says many issues are on the table for discussion. Among them is a closed Transportation Committee meeting.
Brad Johnson, chairman, will conduct the affairs of the three-day meeting and then pass the gavel to Kim Wahlen who will take over for the next year.
Louis Rasmussen, a long-time industry grower/shipper in the Sugar City, ID, area will be presented the Russet Aristocrat award, the highest honor given by the group at the annual banquet Friday, Aug. 30.
