Earth Alive introduces its pioneering soil probiotic, Soil Activator, to the U.S. Soil Activator creates healthier plants and higher yields with reduced fertilizer and water use. It improves plant nutrient uptake by converting soil minerals into easily absorbable nutrients. When applied to soil, preferably at planting, the beneficial microbial population comes to life.

In two trials in Ecuador, Soil Activator improved potato production by helping plants grow greener and more vigorous vines, and by increasing yields by an average of 10 percent.

Soil Activator is 100 percent certified organic with no GMOs or chemically synthesized materials. It can also be used in conventional growing, allowing the use of less fertilizer to gain the same or better results.

The product is easy to use; the powder can either be mixed with water and used to drench soil around the plants, or scratched directly into soil. Commercial growers can mix with granular or liquid fertilizers and even compost. Seeds can be inoculated prior to planting, and young transplants can have a root-soak treatment. For best results, Soil Activator can be applied early in the season to give the bacteria a better runway to do their job.

Soil Activator, produced in Montreal, is available to order from major distributors in select states. Visit Earth Alive’s website for more information.
