Wilbur-Ellis Agribusiness, a leader in precision agriculture technology and the distribution and marketing of plant protection, seed and nutritional products, announced last week it had acquired the assets of Innovative Seed and Consulting, LLC, a full-service agribusiness retailer headquartered in Claremont, Minn.
“Becoming part of Wilbur-Ellis will provide us with the long-term resources necessary to compete in today’s rapidly changing agribusiness environment and enable us to continue to deliver the exceptional service and premier product lines our customers deserve and expect,” said Innovative Seed and Consulting owner Dean Schrom.
Innovative Seed and Consulting has been a trusted, family-owned and -operated business since 2007, providing its customers with seed, crop protection products, crop nutrition, agronomy services, technology services and custom application services. It was important to Schrom to find a similar fit with the company that would take Innovative Seed and Consulting into the next decade of business.

Effective Feb. 24, Innovative Seed and Consulting’s employees and assets became part of Wilbur-Ellis Company.
