Potato growers and allied industry partners are invited to join hosts J.R. Simplot Company, Lamb Weston, McCain Foods, Potato Growers of Washington and Ag World Support Systems for the fourth annual Ag World Golf Classic. The fundraising golf tournament will take place June 14 at the Canyon Lakes Country Club in Kennewick, Wash.

Golfers can sign up as individuals or teams. The 18-hole scramble will include great food and fun with barbecues along the course, a personal appearance and photos with Ronald McDonald, and a cart for ease of play. All of this will be by an ice cream bar social.  Registration begins at 11 a.m. with a shot gun start at 11:45.

The Ag World Golf Classic was born out of a vision to help families with children who have severe medical needs. Warren Henninger, founder and chairman of Ag World Support Systems, saw the need to support the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane, Wash., which provides financial and logistical support to families of children with severe medical needs. Having a grandson born with many medical needs heightened Henninger’s desire to help families in similar situations. The fruit of this vision is the Ag World Golf Classic.

Through the generosity of sponsors and donors, the Ag World Golf Classic has donated more than $160,000 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Inland Northwest over the past three years. The tournament is part of Ag World’s campaign to make a difference by supporting the Ronald McDonald House’s mission to strengthen local families and promote children’s health.

In addition to joining the Ag World Golf Classic as a golfer, you can also consider being a sponsor. There are several levels of sponsorship, all providing exposure to potential business partners while supporting a great cause. Sponsorships and online golf tournament registration are available at AgWorldGolf.com or by contacting Warren Henninger at (509) 760-2662.
