American farmers are nervous as to what the next USDA crop production report will show. The hashtag #NoYieldTweets has caught fire on ag Twitter—farmers aren’t sharing yield numbers so prices don’t drop lower.

Dustin Johnson of farm revenue management firm AgYield says he expects the margin of error on the October yield report to be smaller. He expects to see the corn yield come down, taking a few hundred million bushels off production. As for soybeans, Johnson isn’t sure what the yield on the report could show.

If we do have these record crops out there like it appears in soybeans, Johnson believes the demand is there, especially from China.
