The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, in its eighteenth season, will kick off at 3:45 p.m. Mountain time at Bronco Stadium in Boise, Idaho, on Dec. 20. ESPN will televise the game. It will once again be on the first day of bowl season.

The game will feature a team from the Mountain West Conference and a team from the Mid-American Conference (MAC). It is the second year partnering with the game for the Mountain West and the fourth season for the MAC. San Diego State of the Mountain West defeated Buffalo from the MAC 49-24 last season.

"We are delighted to be a part of the opening day of bowl season for the fifth straight season,” said Kevin McDonald, the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl's executive director. “Our fans enjoy being a part of the kickoff to bowl season and the afternoon time slot is perfect for our game."

The bowl game is one of 11 games owned and operated by ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN.

Tickets will go on sale to the public on Oct. 20 through BoiseStateTickets.com or the Bronco Stadium ticket office. Premium ticket packages are now on sale. For more information, call the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl at (208) 424-1011.

The Camellia Bowl, a new game in 2014 featuring the MAC and Sun Belt, is also scheduled for Dec. 20 at 7:15 p.m.
