The USDA is seeking nominations for the U.S. Potato Board. Applications are due by July 1.
The Denver-based board includes producers, importers and a public member. Producers must produce five or more acres of potatoes to be eligible. Currently, the board is looking to fill 58 open seats for producers and importers for 37 states. Appointees will serve a three-year term.
The board meets regularly to plan promotion, marketing and research activities that benefit the industry.
