For the 2014 growing season, the University of Idaho is implementing a text message alert process as part of the PNWPestAlert.net website.
Here’s how it works: When an alert is posted to the website, subscribers will get a text on their phones notifying them that an alert has been posted. In order to get these text messages, growers can go to PNWPestAlert.net and sign up for this feature. To sign up, go to the home page and click on “Edit User Profile.” Once logged in, click "Edit Your Profile" and enter your phone number, choose your cell phone carrier and then click on the box that says “I Agree”. Finally, at the bottom of the page, click on the box that says “Save My Preferences.”
