On September 7, the USPB wrapped up their first-ever "Real Meals: Pin to Win!" Pinterest contest, finishing strong with 60 entries and garnering 466 new fans to the Potatoes, Taters and Spuds Facebook page.

The USPB Pinterest contest engaged "Linda" in a new way, using the wildly popular Pinterest social media site to invite participants to create a "Real Meals" pin board and pin five easy weeknight meals, two of which must include potatoes. Although the contest integrated USPB's social media properties, the spotlight rested for the first time on the "US Potato Board" Pinterest presence-and with good results! Over its two-week run, the USPB gained 137 new Pinterest followers, with 270 specific followers to the "Real Meals: Pin to Win! Sweepstakes" Pinterest board.

Timed to bridge the back-to-school season and Labor Day weekend, the "Real Meals" Pinterest contest was also featured at the USPB's booth at the International Food Bloggers Conference in Portland, Ore., and was promoted by "Back on Track" spokesperson and mom blogger Susan Schuman of Our Family Eats.

The winner is yet to be chosen, but one lucky entrant will receive an All Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker and Spa Finder gift card-something both useful for "Linda" in the kitchen and valuable for her on a personal level.
