In celebration of its 75th Anniversary, the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) launched the biggest initiative in its history-The Great Big Idaho Potato Truck. This six-ton tater, which sits securely on a 48-foot long trailer, is now in the middle of an eight-month cross-country tour to help raise funds and awareness for Meals On Wheels Association of America (MOWAA), a non-profit organization that provides more than one million meals each day to homebound seniors.

While on its journey, the Truck has visited scores of retail outlets, promoted events at local restaurants, participated in the country's largest foodservice conference and was even invited to be in a parade. It has met hundreds of thousands of Idaho potato fans along the way, reminding them to always look for the famous "Grown in Idaho" seal when they purchase potatoes.

As the saying goes, "A picture is worth a thousand words," and these photos describe the Truck's journey better than I ever could!
