HEMET, Calif.—McCrometer is celebrating Smart Irrigation Month by helping growers maximize water-use efficiency.
Smart Irrigation Month is a public awareness campaign developed by the Irrigation Association (IA) to promote efficient water use and highlights effective irrigation practices and innovative technologies to increase crop yield per acre, apply water and nutrients more precisely for better results with limited waste, minimize runoff and top soil erosion and help protect and preserve water supplies for today and the future.
McCrometer, a leader in smart water-saving practices, is delivering real irrigation results by helping growers:
*Manage water use and ultimately save water with the irrigation industry’s most popular flow meter since 1955, the Mc Propeller Flow Meter;
*Develop and install new irrigation systems to maximize water resources and improve yields;
*Upgrade existing irrigation systems with their new McCrometer CONNECT wireless systems and sensors that use real-time water use, weather data, pivot position and soil moisture sensors to assistwith irrigation scheduling;
*Apply and qualify for government financial assistance to conserve ground and surface water and improve water quality;
*Meet federal, state and local environmental regulations;
*Audit irrigation systems to make sure water is being applied consistently.
