The CBS-produced weekly show "The Doctors," ran a segment entitled "What's Really in your Food?" on May 5, which directly and visually linked eating potato chips with acrylamide, a chemical found in cigarettes. The segment is long on frightening people and short on facts. SFA reached out to the producers of the CBS segment, stating that a comparison of potato chips to cigarettes is inaccurate and misleading. SFA pointed out that the science on acrylamide and human health is inconclusive.
