Two potato lines developed by The University of Wisconsin-Madison Potato Breeding Program were named: Nicolet (for W2133-1) and Tundra (for W2110-3).

Both varieties have good qualities and should be well-received by the industry, according to SpudPro Committee Chairman Brian Bushman. Nicolet characteristics include: high yield potential, good internal quality and uniform size. Positive Tundra qualities are: potential for long storage and chips from 45 degrees Fahrenheit stores and warmer.
