ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston in south-central Idaho says it will shut down one of its potato processing lines in September and some workers may lose their jobs.

Spokeswoman Marti DeMoss says the company expects to offer alternate jobs on other processing lines in Twin Falls to the majority of the 120 employees on the line being shut down.

She told The (Twin Falls) Times-News that layoffs will be minimal due to retraining and natural attrition.

DeMoss says the production line makes french fries for retail and restaurants such as McDonald's but is outdated and demand has dropped off due to the recession.
