LENEXA, Kan.-Frontier Equipment announces additions to its expanding lineup of hay tools with the introduction of a new line of hay tedders. The new Frontier TD24 Series Tedders give hay producers an efficient way to gently and thoroughly dry their crop prior to baling. Two models are available, the TD2418 and TD2427.

"These easy-to-use tedders help minimize crop drying time and evenly distribute crops so you can bale hay sooner," says Michael Horrell, Frontier Equipment sales and marketing manager.

The TD24 Series Tedders are available in either four- or six-basket models with seven tine arms per basket. Flexible steel tines are easily adjustable to pick up crop in tough conditions and to minimize ground contact. Working widths range from 18 ft. 2 in. to 27 ft.

Rotors feature fully enclosed gearboxes and a tilt cylinder. Both models feature hydraulic tilt and transport.

Producers can adjust the tine pitch of the tedder by turning an eccentric spacer washer. With a more aggressive tine position the tedder throws hay higher.

"The angle of the axles can also be adjusted to raise or lower the tedder so you can tilt the unit forward for more aggressive applications. Plus, the axles can be set at an angle to ted the edge of a field, and throw hay farther away from the fence around the field edge so it's easier to rake," says Horrell.
