The New Brunswick Potato Museum is holding a gala dinner Sept. 5 to induct two industry stalwarts into its Hall of Recognition.

This year's inductees are the late Ron Piper, former chairman of Potatoes New Brunswick and potato grower Paul Bubar, who has made a career of promoting the potato industry.

Piper, who died in April, spent six years with Potatoes NB, five of which he served on the executive as treasurer, vice-chairman and then chairman. He was also a founding member of the United Potato Growers of Canada.

Bubar operates Paul Bubar & Sons Ltd., whose primary activity is manufacturing, processing and producing potatoes for both the domestic and export markets.
